Training for Programs

When staff who work with young children learn know how to build their families’ protective factors, families are stronger and children are safer. By becoming an SFI program, your staff can access valuable professional development to help them strengthen families. These core trainings are provided through SFI’s Learning Networks:

• Protective Factors Training
• Building Relationships with Families
• Recognizing and Responding to Signs of Family Stress
• Communicating with Families
• Developing Collaborative Relationships
• Understanding Trauma and Children’s Exposure to Violence
• Cultural Competency

These trainings have been approved by the Gateways to Opportunity Training Registry.

Additional training provided through SFI Learning Networks includes:
